Garden Volunteer Opportunities

We are looking for both beginning and intermediate gardeners to join our garden volunteer crew.

Work alongside Seattle Tilth staff and volunteers in our community learning gardens!

Each year garden volunteers grow hundreds of pounds of organic produce that we donate to local food banks, support our education program, and sustainbly maintain our community learning gardens in North and South Seattle and in Issaquah..

  • The Seattle Veggie Crew
The veggie crew is a "hands-on" learning opportunity, helping maintain our gardens to produce food for demonstration and donation. Work parties take place in our community learning gardens at the Good Shepherd Center in Wallingford and at Bradner Gardens Park in the Mt. Baker neighborhood. Work parties have an educational theme, and will be hosted by a Seattle Tilth staff gardener or trained Garden Steward. Minimum commitment is to attend six work parties during a three month session. Current volunteers, see the late season schedule, July-Sept.

The Late Season Crew is FULL, but we welcome your help at work parties at the Rainier Beach Learning Garden or in Issaquah (see below), or check back in winter for 2011 information.
  • Issaquah Garden Crew

Participate in this three year old garden at the historic Pickering Barn in Issaquah. If you live or work on the Eastside, or are interested in helping  grow a community learning garden in Issaquah, we'd love your participation! View the schedule of work parties .
