COOKING AND NUTRITION
Community Kitchens Northwest (CKNW)
Help bring people together to cook and eat as a community. Participate in community dinners, lead after school cooking clubs, and assist with trainings for community partners. By sharing cooking skills, nutrition knowledge and food traditions, CKNW gives people the tools they need to eat well every day. For more information contact firstname.lastname@example.org.

Each year garden volunteers grow hundreds of pounds of organic produce that we donate to local food banks, support our education program, and sustainably maintain our community learning gardens in North and South Seattle.

- Drop-in Work Parties
Learn about organic food growing techniques while maintaining our farms and gardens. Work parties happen weekly in Wallingford, SE Seattle and Issaquah.
- Garden Steward
Learn about sustainable landscape management and organic food gardening while practicing leadership skills in one of Seattle Tilth's gardens. 3-10 hours per week.* Bradner Gardens Park (Mt. Baker), contact email@example.com.

- Children's Garden Volunteer Naturalists
Lead kids on Earth Steward sensory tours of the Children's Garden during weekdays, working with school groups and field trips in the garden. Learn about organic gardening and teaching while having loads of fun! Shifts weekday mornings and afternoons depending on tour schedule.* Rainier Beach Urban Farm and Wetlands (SE Seattle), contact email@example.com.

- Street Promotions Team
Help distribute postcards and posters for our events! Pick an area of your choice and ask permission from businesses. Visit libraries, rec centers, coffee shops, bars etc. Contact email@example.com.
- Data Entry/Administrative Support
Provide data entry support for Seattle Tilth, including entering volunteer hours, donations and memberships. Help with administrative tasks such as filing, mailing, and making photocopies. Flexible scheduling 2-8 hours per week M-F, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Just Garden Support
Support Just Garden in a variety of ways, including assisting with office tasks, working on program surveys and evaluations, providing event support, with potential to expand range of activities as season continues. There is some flexibility in this position, although the above activities will be central. 10-15 hrs/week with flexible scheduling from October to December, with potential to continue in the new year. - ADMINISTRATIVE/OUTREACH/ EVENTS
- Driving Instructor for Seattle Youth Garden Works
Help youth program assistant staff learn how to drive. Many of the youth in our program are in need of a driver’s license in order take to meet their personal professional and financial goals. They are lacking of adult allies with access to vehicles who can help them to learn to drive and to gain the confidence they need to take and pass the driver’s license test. This summer we piloted the program with success and helped the first program assistant get his driver’s license. Must have own vehicle and vehicle insurance. Scheduling is flexible, and to be arranged between adult ally and youth program assistant. Driving practice will be based out of the Rainier Beach Urban Farm and Wetlands (SE Seattle).
