Garden Opportunities
- Children's Garden Volunteers
Lead kids on Earth Steward sensory tours of the children's garden as a Volunteer Naturalist. Learn about organic gardening and teaching while having loads of fun. - Veggie Crew Garden Volunteers
Join a Veggie Crew to help maintain our community learning garden at the Good Shepherd Center. - Seattle Youth Garden Works
Support this program, empowering homeless and underserved youth through garden-based education and employment, by volunteering at our market garden at the Center for Urban Horticulture in the University District. Work parties and projects available, contact robertservine@seattletilth.org for the current schedule. - Master Composter/Soil Builder
Receive in-depth compost education, then share your knowledge with the community. Applications for 2012 will be available soon!
Events
- Edible Plant Sale Support
Help out prepping plant signs, sourcing supplies, sorting tags, in advance of our Edible Plant Sales on March 17th and May 5 & 6. Contact chrisiberle@seattletilth.org (and if you want to volunteer on event day, email Chris to get on the list as well!)
Marketing & Outreach
- Street Promotions Team
Help distribute postcards and posters for our programs! Pick an area of your choice and ask permission from businesses. Visit libraries, rec centers, coffee shops, bars etc. Contact lizaburke@seattletilth.org - Seattle Tilth Outreach Team
Do outreach at community events and talk to interested people about Seattle Tilth's work, programs, opportunities, and ways to get involved. Great for interns or people already familiar with the work we do. Required training on January 25, then get plugged in to the upcoming schedule of tabling opportunities. Interested?
