Perfect for people intent on raising bees, this class will show you how to start your hive with confidence. You will learn how to install bee packages and do basic bee inspections during the first few critical weeks. Students will watch the instructor go through the process indoors with a demo hive and mock bee package and have the opportunity to ask questions at the end. If you’re new to beekeeping and you want to have your own hive, we recommend you take both Beekeeping 101 and 201. This class will be instructed by expert beekeeper Corky Luster from Ballard Bee Company.

COST:

$36 individuals, $25 Seattle Tilth members, $54 Household price for two adults.  Advance registration and payment are required.
