This outdoor, hands-on class will show you how easy it can be to create rich compost from yard and food waste, including free sources of compostable material in our community. Finished compost is a fantastic material to enrich and bring to life any type of garden soil and is one of the most important techniques for vegetable gardening. You’ll learn how to compost both food and yard waste appropriately and successfully and be able to determine what systems work best for you. We will be building a hot compost pile in class--so dress for messy materials and get ready to rot!

COST

$36 individuals, $25 Seattle Tilth members, $54 Household price for two adults.  Advance registration and payment are required.
