This class is full and we are no longer accepting registrations. If you are interested in other free container gardening classes, see Herbal Tea Gardening, Container Stir-Fry Gardening or Fall and Winter Container Herb Gardening class listings. We are also offering Fall Salad Gardening for in-ground gardens in Seattle and Issaquah.
Salad gardens are the easiest thing around and what a payoff! All you need is a little advanced planning, a couple of containers, some potting soil and you’ll be grazing for months. When you see how easy it is to plant and grow a salad garden, you’ll wonder why they charge $7.99 a pound for the stuff in the grocery stores! Best of all, salad greens grow great on balconies, patios or window sills and don't need full sun. Join us in the park after work and learn how to grow a salad container garden.
Class will meet either in the gazebo area by the community center or on the south end of the playground. Please look for the Seattle Tilth A-frame signs. Classes are sponsored by the Center City Parks program of Seattle Parks and Recreation.
COST: Free!
