Interested in tending a flock of your own? Find out exactly what it takes in this thorough introductory class for anyone interested in keeping chickens. Learn the most important considerations in caring for a small flock of hens in limited space, including chicken physiology, behavior, health, nutrition, housing and city regulations. Questions are encouraged in this lecture-based class and you will leave with the knowledge you need to start raising chickens in your own backyard.

COST: 

$40 individuals, $30 Seattle Tilth members, $60 Household price for two adults.  Advance registration and payment are required.
