It is easier to grow mushrooms at home than you might think! In this interactive class you will learn the types of mushrooms that grow well in our area, the conditions they require and the equipment you will need to grow lovely edible mushrooms. We will discuss growing mushrooms on logs and stumps, sawdust and wood chips and other natural culture.  We'll also discuss growing mushrooms on recycled coffee grounds- a resource that's easy for city folks to access! Edible mushrooms provide valuable minerals, vitamins, protein and fiber to your diet, offer endless options in the kitchen and are fun to share with friends. Learn how to fill that bare, shady corner of your garden with edible fungi!
