This class is an opportunity for the whole family to get involved! Come learn about what it takes to incorporate a thriving flock into your family life. You’ll gain tips and techniques on how to spread the responsibilities of care within your family, choose a coop for the greatest level of enjoyment and interaction, select the friendliest breeds, get a chicken to come when called, provide favorite chicken snacks, use proper sanitation techniques and more. Children are encouraged to attend this class—there will be a live chicken on hand answering questions! This class will be held indoors with interactive classroom activities.
COST:
$40 per family, $30 per family for Seattle Tilth members. Advance registration and payment are required.
