Sustainability is both a way of thinking and a way of living. This half-day workshop will provide educators an introduction to sustainability in school gardens. Learn about garden lessons and school activities that will help your students understand the interdependence of the planet and to feel empowered that they can make a difference. Help your students reflect on the impacts of their actions and to practice responsibility for the community. Topics will include cafeteria composting projects and teaching techniques that will bring the garden and natural world to life while inspiring environmental ethos. Teachers receive 3 clock hours.
