Considering backyard chickens? Want to get the whole family to get involved? This is the class for you! This class will cover basic chicken care for beginners, plus what it takes to incorporate a thriving flock into your family life. You’ll gain tips and techniques on how to spread the responsibilities of care within your family, choose a coop for the greatest level of enjoyment and interaction, select the friendliest breeds, get a chicken to come when called, provide favorite chicken snacks, use proper sanitation techniques and more. Children are encouraged to attend this class—there will be a live chicken on hand answering questions! This class will be held indoors with interactive classroom activities.
