Raising chickens from young chicks is fun and rewarding. This is a comprehensive introductory course for anyone interested in keeping chickens and would like to start with baby chicks.

Learn the most important considerations in caring for baby chicks, including chicken physiology, behavior, health, nutrition, housing and city regulations. This lecture-style class also covers a wide variety of chicken breeds. Questions are encouraged and you will leave this class with everything you need to know to start raising chicks.

COST: $40 or $30 Seattle Tilth members.  Advance registration and payment are required.
