Learn the most important considerations in caring for baby chicks, including chicken physiology, behavior, health, nutrition, housing and city regulations. This lecture-based class also covers a wide variety of chicken breeds. Questions are encouraged and you will leave this class with everything you need to know to start raising chicks.

The information presented in this class is very similar to the content of our Chickens 101 class.  Students should choose one class or the other based on whether they plan to start with baby chicks or adult birds.  If you are unsure, Starting with Baby Chicks is the best class to take to help you decide.

$30 for Tilth members, $40 non-members.  Advance registration and payment is required.
