Summer Camps Ages 1-2 at Good Shepherd Center

Learn to garden with your toddler!

Learn to garden with your toddler! Explore the family organic garden in these one-day sessions. Learn what to plant and how to work together to grow your own garden. These classes introduce toddlers and parents to the delightful possibilities of the peawee garden patch. Come sing songs, find colors and shapes, and taste the flowers and plants that grow in the garden.

COST

$25 or $20 Seattle Tilth members; registration fee is for one child and accompanying adult.

DAYS AND THEMES

Don’t Squish That Bug!

  • Wed., June 13; 10–11:30 a.m.
  • Explore the smallest creatures in the garden. Identify beneficial bugs and other helpful critters. Build bug houses. 

Tools for Tots

  • Wed., June 20; 10–11:30 a.m.  
  • Use tools to plant seeds, dig holes and help in the garden. Practice tool safety with special kid-sized garden tools.

Fly Like a Beetle

  • Wed., July 18; 10–11:30 a.m.
  • Learn about the ladybug lifecycle, meet the garden creatures up close and personal and take home a fun project.

Fancy Flowers!

  • Wed., August 8; 10–11:30 a.m.  
  • Taste the different plants and flowers in the garden. Learn about plant parts and collect a garden rainbow!

Wiggle, Squiggle, Giggle

  • Wed., August 29; 10–11:30 a.m.
  • Explore the compost bin. Discover the worms and other compost critters that live there. Learn how to set up your own worm bin. 

REGISTER

Download and print a registration form and mail it to us with your payment. Confirmations will be e-mailed.  Classes will be marked as "FULL" when there is no longer availability.
