###

Did you know that Seattle has become known as a world-class chicken destination? We'll prove it! This is your chance to talk with the chicken keepers in the city of Seattle about building coops, the varieties of birds they keep and the eggs they provide.  Maybe it will inspire you to finally build that coop you’ve been daydreaming about.  New this year, the tour will also include homes that are raising goats, ducks and bees.

Father & Son at Chicken Tour

In this self-guided, mapped tour through Seattle neighborhoods you will see simple coops built in an afternoon and elaborate houses that took weeks of planning and building!  You will enjoy seeing the many different varieties of chicken breeds that people keep and learning about these lovely backyard pets.

This year we have grouped tour stops into 4 Seattle neighborhood areas - northwest, northeast, southeast/central area and southwest.  We encourage you to visit the coops in your area and see what your neighbors are doing.  A car or strong biking ability is suggested to go from home to home.

Tickets cost $30 or $25 for Tilth members and each ticket allows a family or 4 individuals to participate.

You can purchase tickets from these local retailers the week prior and the day of the event:
