Celebrate local food! 

Seattle Tilth's Harvest Fair Saturday, Sept. 12, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.,
behind the Good Shepherd Center in the Wallingford neighborhood
(4649 Sunnyside Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103).

Learn about growing, preparing and preserving the harvest, raising urban livestock, and community issues. Participate in activities for all ages, eat tasty food and listen to local bands. This is Seattle's urban garden festival!

Urban Livestock

Meet chickens, goats and honey bees and ask their owners what it takes to produce eggs, milk and honey in your own back yard! A goat/chicken hut will be auctioned off at the Heifer Int'l. booth.  Find out more...

Local Urban Marketplace & Organic Farmer's Market

Stock up on local goods, fall veggie and ornamental plants. Tasty food vendors like Skillet, Rolling Fire Pizza, Patty Pan, Mighty O Donuts and Lucky Palate will delight your tummy.

This is a great time of year to buy fresh produce in bulk for canning, preserving, or major cooking to freeze for the season, while the harvest is abundant. Support local and organic farms!  See who's coming...

Community Show-n-Tell

Find out what's going on in the local food system, environment, economy, education, transportation and beyond, by getting to know the community organizations working to create a healthy environment and community.  See who's coming....

Family Fun

  • Participate in activities in the Children's Garden like face painting, worm bin exploration, and garden crafts. Join the Harvest Parade at noon (bring musical instruments) and stay tuned for Lisa Taylor's Creepin' Critters Puppet Show immediately afterward from 12:30-1 p.m.!
  • Make an herb crown (donations of fresh cut herbs & flowers are welcome)
  • Take a self-guided tour of the teaching garden and get ideas for your garden.

    The Restaurant Raffle

    Buy tickets to win a $100 gift certificate to one of these excellent restaurants that use fresh local ingredients: Cafe Flora, Canlis, Serafina, Tilth. Raffle tickets can be bought at the Tilth booth, or from a roving restaurant raffler. Proceeds support Seattle Tilth.
